The Tepper School of Business is home to many programs and research programs that cross d subject areas. We approach scientific problems from fresh angles using creative interdisciplinary approaches while drawing on our strengths in the core social sciences. Tepper faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized for their research in a variety of fields, including organizational behavior and theory, economics, finance, and accounting.
 
Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business is searching for a Research Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing essential support by working on optimal control problems in continuous time. This is a part-time position typically scheduled to work up to 10 hours/week through the end of the semester.
 
Your core responsibilities will include:
  • Help develop, design and conduct research projects according to plan
  • Participates in formulating research methods, recommending options and solutions
  • Works independently on the collection of data, published works, database design and analysis of results
  • Prepare reports and drafts manuscripts
  • Other duties as assigned

You should demonstrate:
  • A strong background in macroeconomics and mathematics
  • A toolkit in mean field games
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 0-1 year of experience required
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
 
Additional Information:
  • This is a fixed term position with an estimated through the end of the semester.
