Job Description

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE:
$21/hour

HOURS:
2 Satudays per month, 7:45am to 1pm

CAMPUS:
Thomas E. Barton Campus
 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop course curriculum and teach the course as assigned
  • Administer pre-test and post-test, evaluate strengths and weaknesses of each student.
  • Develop a plan for students relevant to their academic needs and maintain accurate student performance and attendance records.
  • Conduct student conferences and submit student progress reports.
  • Complete required paperwork and submit end of Academic Component
report.
  • Attend Instructor's staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Scheduled work hours are two Saturdays a month, September – May, from 7:45 am – 1 pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in the academic discipline to be taught or related. At least one year of experience as a teacher in a regular classroom setting that required the preparation of lesson plans and lectures, the grading of student's written and oral work, and the administration of exam at least one year experience in curriculum development and experience teaching and/or providing services to low-income first generation youth such as those that the project service.
