Job Description

The Business, Entrepreneurship, and Information Technology Division is currently seeking multiple adjunct instructors to become part of our teaching faculty.

Responsibilities:

Adjunct instructors are part-time faculty, teaching one or more courses during daytime or evening hours on the Kilgore or Longview campus. Courses are taught face-to-face, online, or in a hybrid format (partially face-to-face and partially online) and require the use of instructional technology in and out of the classroom. Adjunct faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom. Course needs vary each semester, and include the following: • Accounting • Business (including marketing, management, human resources, finance) • Business Computer Information Systems • Computer Networking • Cybersecurity • Economics • Entrepreneurship • Logistics • Software/Web/Game Development

Minimum Qualifications:

Faculty teaching courses that will transfer to university baccalaureate programs must have a Master’s degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline. Faculty teaching courses that are part of a two-year workforce preparation program must have a bachelor’s degree in the teaching discipline, or associate’s degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
  • Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.

Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program. Positions will remain open until filled. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment.
