Job Description
Responsibilities will include teaching applied credit and non-credit studio piano lessons to majors, non-majors and community members covering a variety of styles from classical to contemporary. Additional duties may include accompanying students and performing in faculty ensembles. Other academic teaching assignments may be available depending upon the candidate’s background, interest, and departmental needs.
Education/Experience
A completed master’s degree in piano performance or pedagogy, ability to communicate with and teach students at all levels of musicianship, demonstrated experience as a professional performing pianist in a variety of music styles from classical to popular and ability to recruit quality piano students to the program.
Qualifications
A record of successful teaching at the college/university level and noted professional achievement as a performing artist in a variety of idioms with an emphasis in jazz and contemporary music.
