The College seeks experienced, qualified, and dynamic Nursing part-time faculty to teach Mental Health Lab/Clinicals at our Oak Lawn campus. The typical teaching class load for adjuncts is one to three classes each quarter.

This position will be responsible for:

· Providing quality instruction

· Positively influencing student learning of specific subject matter

· Assisting students in their efforts to succeed in their academic endeavors

· Serving as an advisor

· Contributing to the overall development and retention of students

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing required
  • Two to five years of teaching/professional experience in mental health
  • Clinical Skills experience preferred
  • Current registered nurse license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and people skills
  • Must have empathy for and willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds
