Job Description

The Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation in the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University invites applications for temporary part-time teaching positions. The primary teaching responsibility for these positions may include undergraduate courses on various entrepreneurship topics or a core business course in strategic management. Candidates should be devoted to excellence in teaching. As a part-time, temporary position, these are need-based.

The Hankamer School of Business (http://www.baylor.edu/business/) is AACSB accredited and home to the Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation ( https://www.baylor.edu/business/entrepreneurship/). The Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation Department has 16 full-time faculty supporting three ECI degrees (BBA, Ph.D., and ECI minor). There are over 220 ECI majors in the BBA program and 140 entrepreneurship minors. In addition, the ECI department manages the business and innovation living and learning center, home to over 300 students from all majors on campus but with a common interest in entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation has long been ranked as one of the top 10 entrepreneurship programs in the United States.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess, or expect to earn before beginning their appointment, at least a master's degree in business or a closely related field. While prior industry experience is not mandatory, it is highly desirable. Along with these academic and professional credentials, applicants should have the ability to collaborate effectively with other faculty in a dynamic, team-oriented educational environment. The standard teaching load for this position is one to two courses in the fall or spring semesters.
