Position Summary:
The position is responsible for scheduling, administering various tests for students including entry assessment, classroom and industry or program specific tests with disability related accommodations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Hours/Schedule:
This is a part time position that will work between 20-25 hours per week with varying days and hours. Hours are between 8 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday and 6 PM on Tuesdays. Start time and scheduled hours will need to be flexible to cover testing particularly during peak periods.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and proctor tests administered in LSS and assist front office staff as needed.
- Provide accommodations during testing for students with disabilities.
- Explain test instructions to students and ensure they are followed.
- Monitor students during test administration and handle any issues that arise including allegations or observations of cheating.
- Follow LSS test administration procedures and directions from the Testing Specialist and/or Faculty Instructions for Test Administration.
- Maintain an accurate daily time log of time spent administering/proctoring tests.
- Provide/assist with test taking accommodations set up for each individual student with disabilities; act as a reader/scribe as needed.
- Set up tests using assistive technology as needed and do basic technology troubleshooting.
- Administer entry assessments, classroom tests and program or industry tests including guiding students through test instructions, practice tests and securing login.
- Ensure security and integrity of tests.
- Deliver tests to instructors in a timely manner.
- Log students onto WCC LMS and other online testing sites.
- Assist with scheduling and re-scheduling testing appointments within hours of operation
- Calculate extended test taking time.
- Assist with data tracking.
- Back up in completing/submitting reports as needed under direction of Lead Testing Specialist
- Communicate on a daily basis with other Testing Specialist and work cooperatively with all staff.
- Work independently and efficiently handling all aspects of testing, particularly during stressful or demanding periods.
- Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent plus additional college level coursework or equivalent training/experience.
- At least three (3) years of full time work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with computer operations including Word, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage student appointments and tests. Ability to organize own workload and work independently.
- Ability to be flexible, responsible, reliable and prompt in regard to workload and assigned work hours.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills to deal effectively with students, college faculty, staff and the community. Professionalism and courtesy in all written and oral communication.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, particularly during peak times for test administration.
- Ability to implement testing accommodations (reader or scribe).
- Legible handwriting and excellent grammatical skills.
- Demonstrate accurate keyboarding skills at 30 wpm.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with assistive technology (AT) used in testing.
- Experience in working with persons with disabilities.
- Experience working with software programs.
- Demonstrated accuracy with data input for managing testing within an electronic management system.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and/or direct questions for timely resolution.
